General Features of PVC Vertical Blinds
Slats made of PVC with a width of 89 mm rotate 180° around their own axis via a mechanical control chain to regulate light. Depending on the installation site, the blind can be stacked to the right, to the left, from the center to both sides, or from one edge toward the center using a mechanical pull cord, creating an aesthetic and ergonomic environment. The general appearance of the Double-Line, Grooved, Perforated, Wood-Effect and Plain PVC vertical blinds is as shown in Figure-1.

Vertical Blind Installation
Headrail
![]() |
The headrail of the fabric vertical blind is manufactured from aluminum profile, supplied in 6-meter lengths and cut to size. As shown in Figure 2, the carriages carrying the slats move along tracks inside the aluminum rail. The carriages are interconnected with spacers that extend by the width of each slat. A star-shaped aluminum tilt rod passes through the center of the carriages. Rotated by the chain, the tilt rod turns the slats 180° around their own axis. The cords passing through the carriages and making a full loop enable the opening and closing of the blind. |

Vertical Blind Stacking Directions
The control type should be selected depending on the installation area. When choosing, pay attention to the opening directions of doors and windows.

| In single-stack mechanisms, the control side (chain & cord) can be adjusted to the right or left during installation. For sloping or motorized systems, it must be set during production. | The stacking direction (right or left) is determined during installation. The aim is to provide ease of use depending on the control mechanism side. | The stacking direction (right or left) is determined during installation. The aim is to provide ease of use depending on the control mechanism side. | With split stacking from the center, slats open to both sides. This prevents excessive stacking in wide blinds, improving aesthetics and durability. | With split stacking from the edges toward the center, stacking avoids interference with doors or window openings. |
Height of the Control System (Chain & Cord)
If the blind height is **H**, then the control height is **Hc**.
– If H is less than 220 cm, Hc is made 10 cm shorter than the blind height.
– If H is 221 cm or more, Hc is made 100 cm shorter than the blind height.

Measuring for Vertical Blinds
![]() |
![]() |
| Width (w1, w2) and height (H1, H2) must be taken at two different points. Use the smallest values for production. For inside recess fitting, subtract 1 cm from width and 2 cm from height to avoid friction with wall or floor. | For wall or ceiling fitting, consider stack space and leave at least 15 cm clearance on both sides. Also check door/window openings and handles when deciding the control side. |

| For outside corners, ensure that the headrails align precisely with each other. | For inside corners, calculate widths properly before ordering. |
