General Features of Zebra Roller Blinds

Zebra Blinds are a type of mechanized blind that has recently become a rising trend. They are named “zebra” due to the striped arrangement of fine and filled weaves. With one side fixed and the other movable, the dual-layer fabric moves on the mechanism to open and close the view. Zebra blinds add an elegant and sophisticated look to any space with their delicate fabric. Combining both sheer and roller blind features, zebra blinds can be used alone in all interiors and are an indispensable part of window decoration. With a wide range of color options, these fabrics require minimal maintenance and cleaning, and can be applied with chain mechanisms, or optionally with button-operated and remote-controlled motorized systems.

Choosing Zebra Roller Blind Colors

Brown is the color of soil, humanity’s essential resource—representing fertility and productivity. Brown accelerates metabolism, increases sensitivity, and strengthens nerves. Since it balances people in the environment and evokes a sense of trust and comfort from the earth, it is especially recommended for offices where group work is common.

Chain-Operated Roller Blind Parts

Roller blinds can be manufactured with chain, spring, semi-automatic, or motorized systems upon request. In chain-operated roller blinds, the fabric is usually wrapped around a 32 mm aluminum tube. Roller blind headsets are attached to both ends of the tube for mounting. When the chain is pulled, the fabric rolls up around the tube; when pulled in the opposite direction, the fabric lowers and closes the blind. The lower edge of the blind can feature a straight bottom bar, or optionally decorated with trims or beads. The endless chain allows fabric to roll from the front or back of the tube, preventing interference with door handles. A plastic handle is attached to the chain’s end for a neater appearance. Both ends of the bottom rail are capped with plastic pieces for aesthetics. At the bottom, the hem may be cut into various shapes and decorated with trims, beads, or metal rods upon request.

Spring Roller Blind Parts

In spring roller blinds, the fabric is wrapped around a 32 mm aluminum tube. A spring unit and cap are attached to both ends of the tube for mounting. The spring is wound and mounted onto a mounting strip, which is then attached to the wall or ceiling using roller blind brackets. The blind is pulled down with a cord and locked into position when released gently. To open, pull slightly downwards on the cord and release, allowing the spring to roll the fabric upwards. If the spring loosens and does not retract properly, it can be tightened.

Motorized Roller Blind Parts

In motorized roller blinds, the fabric is wrapped around a 45 mm aluminum tube. A tubular motor is fitted on one side, with a cap on the other. After connecting the electrical wiring, the blind can be operated up and down via a multi-channel remote control. Once installed, the upper and lower stop limits are adjusted, ensuring the blind stops precisely at the set positions.

Measuring for Roller Blinds

When installing above a window or door, extend the width measurement (A) 10 cm beyond each side of the frame. For height, add 20 cm to the total measurement (B) for rolling allowance.

When viewed vertically, ensure placement prevents interference with opening windows and door handles. For inside mounts, measure at the narrowest point, deducting 0.5 cm from both sides for smooth operation. Check window and door handle clearances when measuring side profiles to ensure unobstructed opening. Below are roller blind thickness and width details. Review carefully when ordering online.

For ceiling mounts, consider the possibility of blocked openings for doors and windows. If windows/doors cannot open easily, consider mounting above the frame. If handles interfere, reverse rolling direction by adjusting the endless chain. Roller Blind Rolling Direction

Roller Blind Installation

When installing roller blinds, ensuring level alignment is crucial. If the fabric rolls unevenly to one side, the cause is improper leveling.

Install the brackets, then attach the head unit as shown. Press the spring-loaded pin on the opposite cap into the bracket slot. When installing multiple blinds side by side, use a connector bracket to minimize gaps.
