The aluminum Venetian blind is manufactured from a durable top casing coated with electrostatic powder paint. Through this casing runs the ladder cord, and the slats — made of 23-micron thick aluminum shaped into an oval form by a fully automatic Venetian blind machine — can be produced in widths of 16 mm or 25 mm upon request. To ensure the slats hang smoothly, a bottom rail made of steel and coated with electrostatic powder paint is attached at the lower end. A control mechanism, called a “duck,” is installed in the top casing to operate the blind. A polycarbonate tilt rod, whose length varies depending on the blind’s height, is attached to this mechanism. With the rod, you can adjust the slats to control the amount of light entering your room. In addition, a locking mechanism is installed beside the control unit to raise and lower the blind. The cords passing through this lock allow the blind to be collected or released. When selecting the control side, you determine whether the tilt rod and lock will be on the right or left when facing the blind, as the cords and rod remain exposed when the blind is raised and could interfere with doors or windows.
