Description

General Features of Blackout Roller Blinds

Blackout blinds are made from special fabrics with zero light permeability. They are used in windows exposed to excessive sunlight, meeting and conference rooms, hotel rooms, and bedrooms. They are also used in workplaces with projectors to darken the environment. Blackout roller blinds, also called blackout blinds, are produced with special fabrics that block all light. In spaces with extreme sunlight, they can be used half-closed if desired. They are a popular solution for meeting and conference rooms, as well as bedrooms and hotel rooms. Another application method is combining them with sunscreen blinds. This allows light to be filtered when needed or completely blocked. Due to their practicality and elegant appearance, they are widely preferred in hotel rooms.

Choosing the Color of Blackout Roller Blinds

Gray is a diplomatic and serious color. It reduces energy, slows movement, and represents weight and seriousness. Since it suppresses creativity, it is used in government offices where creativity is not required. Most office supplies are gray. If your work requires speed rather than thinking and creativity, gray is a suitable choice. Additionally, gray conveys modesty, negative emotions, fear, and lack of imagination. It is conciliatory, but overuse can feel overwhelming.

Chain-Operated Roller Blind Parts

Roller blinds can be manufactured as chain-operated, spring-operated, semi-automatic, or motorized. In chain-operated blinds, fabric is usually wrapped around a 32 mm aluminum tube. Roller blind head mechanisms are attached to both ends of the tube for installation. When the chain is pulled, the fabric rolls onto the tube; when reversed, the fabric unrolls and closes the blind. The bottom of the blind can have a straight hem bar or optional trims such as lace or beads. The chain is endless, and the fabric’s descent can be adjusted in front of or behind the tube, preventing it from touching door handles. A plastic handle is attached to the end of the chain for better handling. Plastic caps on both ends of the bottom rail add aesthetic value. Various hem designs can be finished with trims like lace, beads, or metal rods.

Spring-Operated Roller Blind Parts

In spring-operated roller blinds, fabric is wrapped around a 32 mm aluminum tube. Spring mechanisms and caps are mounted on both ends of the tube. The spring is tensioned and attached to the mounting bar, which is installed on the wall or ceiling using roller blind brackets. When the blind is pulled with the cord, it locks in place as it rises slowly. To open it, pull the cord gently downward and release upward; the spring lifts the fabric. The blind can be stopped at any desired height. If the spring loses tension and doesn’t lift properly, it can be tightened further.

Spring-operated roller blinds are available with 24 mm, 28 mm, or 32 mm tubes and springs.

Motorized Roller Blind Parts

In motorized roller blinds, fabric is wrapped around a 45 mm aluminum tube. A tubular motor is installed on the right or left side, with a cap on the opposite end. After electrical connection, the blind operates up and down using a multi-channel remote. After installation, upper and lower limits are set so the blind stops at the desired positions.

Measuring for Roller Blinds

For blinds installed above a window or door, extend the width (A) 10 cm beyond the frame on both sides. Add 20 cm to the height (B) for rolling allowance.

When viewed from the side, carefully choose the installation point to prevent interference with window or door handles.

For inside-frame measurements, ensure wall surfaces are even and measure at the narrowest point to allow smooth operation. Subtract 0.5 cm from each side of the measured width (A) when ordering. Pay extra attention to door and window handles, as insufficient space may prevent them from opening.

For ceiling installations, consider the possibility of windows or doors not opening fully. If needed, you can install above the frame. If the blind touches handles, reverse-roll the endless chain to avoid the issue.

Roller Blind Installation

When installing, ensure the blind is level. If it rolls unevenly, it is due to misalignment.

After installing the brackets, attach the head mechanism as shown. Press the spring-loaded cap on the other end and insert it into the opposite bracket slot.

If installing two blinds side by side, use a connecting bracket to minimize the gap between them.
