General Features of Zebra Roller Blinds

Zebra Blinds are a type of roller blind with a mechanism that has recently become a rising trend. They are named “Zebra” because the thin and thick woven fabrics are arranged in stripes. With one side fixed and the other movable, the double-layer fabric operates on the mechanism with an open-close logic. Zebra blinds, with their delicate fabric, bring a stylish and elegant look to any space. Combining both sheer and roller blind features, zebra blinds can be used alone in all areas and are an indispensable part of window decoration. Fabrics with rich color options require minimal maintenance and cleaning and can be applied with a chain mechanism or, upon request, with a button-operated or remote-controlled motorized system.

Choosing Zebra Roller Blind Colors

Brown is the color of the soil, the raw material of humanity. In other words, it is the color of fertility and productivity. Brown accelerates metabolism, increases sensitivity, and strengthens the nerves. Since it provides balance among people in an environment, and due to the sense of security and comfort coming from the earth, it should be preferred in offices where teamwork is essential.

Chain Roller Blind Parts

Roller blinds can be produced with chain, spring, semi-automatic, or motorized mechanisms depending on preference. In chain roller blinds, the fabric is usually wrapped around a 32 mm aluminum tube. The roller blind head mechanisms are mounted on both sides of the tube. When the chain is pulled, the fabric rolls onto the tube, and when reversed, the fabric unrolls downward, closing the blind. Upon request, the bottom of the blind can have a plain hem bar or be decorated with trim or beads. The chain is an endless loop. By pulling it, the direction of the fabric rolling from the front or back of the tube can be adjusted, preventing the fabric from touching door handles. A plastic handle is attached to the end of the chain for a neater appearance. Both ends of the bottom bar have plastic caps, providing a more aesthetic look. At the very bottom, various cut patterns can be decorated with trims, beads, or metal rods.

Spring Roller Blind Parts

In spring roller blinds, the fabric is wrapped around a 32 mm aluminum tube. A spring set and caps are mounted on both sides of the tube. The spring is tightened and attached to the mounting bar, which is then fixed to the wall or ceiling with roller blind brackets. By pulling the cord, the blind opens, and when released slowly upward, it locks at the desired point. To open the blind again, pull the cord slightly downward and then release upward without pausing, allowing the spring to roll it up fully. You can stop it again at any desired point. If the spring loosens and does not pull upward, it can be tightened further.

Motorized Roller Blind Parts

In motorized roller blinds, the fabric is wrapped around a 45 mm aluminum tube. A tubular motor is installed on either the right or left side of the tube, with a cap placed on the other side. After the electrical connection is made, it is operated up and down with a multi-channel remote. Once installed, upper and lower limit adjustments are made to set the positions where the blind will stop.

Measuring Roller Blinds

When measuring roller blinds to be installed above a window or door, extend 10 cm beyond the right and left sides of the frame (A). For the height (B), add 20 cm for rolling allowance.

When viewed from the front, carefully determine the installation point to prevent interference with opening window and door sashes or handles. When measuring inside the frame, check the flatness of the side walls and measure from the narrowest point for smooth operation. From the measured width (A), subtract 0.5 cm on both sides for the order. When measuring inside the frame from a cross-section, pay attention to the opening directions and handles of doors and windows. If there isn’t enough clearance, they may not open fully. Below are the thicknesses and widths of roller blinds. When providing online measurements, carefully examine the diagram below.

For ceiling installation, consider the possibility that windows or doors may not open properly. If opening seems difficult, you can mount above the frame. However, the roller blind may touch door or window handles. In that case, since the chain is endless, you can roll it in reverse by turning it fully, solving the problem. Roller Blind Installation

When installing roller blinds, ensuring they are level is very important. If the blind rolls to the right or left when being gathered, the reason is lack of leveling.

After installing the roller blind brackets, attach the head mechanism as shown. Press the spring part of the cap on the other end and fit it into the bracket slot on the opposite side. If you need to install two roller blinds side by side, use a roller blind connection bracket to minimize the gap between them.
