Single Macaroni Sparkly Armure Plain Sheer Curtain – Pleat Density Ratios
- Non-Pleated Sheer Curtain (No Pleats)
- 1-2 Pleats (Sparse Pleats 1×2)
- 1-2.5 Pleats (Medium Pleats 1×2.5)
- 1-3 Pleats (Dense Pleats 1×3)
Paying attention to pleat density in sheers and curtains significantly changes the appearance. If you are considering ordering custom-made sheer curtains, you need to make the right choice. This is because the same sheer curtains are not used in every space. Depending on the customer’s preference, non-pleated, sparse, medium, or dense pleats can be selected.
- Non-Pleated Sheer Curtain (No Pleats)
As the name suggests, non-pleated sheers are plain. They do not have pleats and can be used as panels. Non-pleated models are often chosen for curtains and sunshades.
This way, when a sheer is hung over them, it doesn’t create an asymmetrical look. If you are planning to use sheers as sunshades or panels, be sure to specify non-pleated models.
- 1 to 2 Pleats (Sparse Pleats 1×2)
The first pleat density ratio is 1 to 2 (1×2). As it falls into the sparse pleat category, it can sometimes be used as a sunshade or panel. However, it is commonly preferred in bedrooms or living rooms where simplicity is desired. If you don’t like dense pleats but still want some pleating, you should go for 1×2 pleated sheers.
- 1 to 2.5 Pleats (Medium Pleats 1×2.5)
The standard pleat density, 1 to 2.5 (1×2.5), is the most preferred ratio. Known as medium pleats, these sheers can be used in living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, or children’s rooms. Since it has a balanced pleat density, it easily adapts to all areas of home textiles. If you’re unsure which option to choose, you can safely opt for 1×2.5 pleated sheers.
- 1 to 3 Pleats (Dense Pleats 1×3)
The final pleat density ratio is 1 to 3, known as dense pleats. These sheers are very tightly pleated with no gaps between them. If you prefer dense pleats, be sure to specify 1×3 pleats in custom orders. It is the second most popular pleat choice after medium pleats and is often preferred in living rooms and guest rooms, as it adds formality and presence to the space.

Choosing the Color of Sheer Curtains
White represents cleanliness, purity, peace, and holiness. Since it reflects light, it adds freshness, brightness, and energy to spaces. White symbolizes elegance and composure, which is why it is used to create calm environments. Architects prefer it because it rests the eyes and soul, makes spaces look larger, and in offices, it enhances stability, continuity, and trust. White is also widely used in places where cleanliness and hygiene are prioritized, such as hospitals, dental clinics, pharmaceutical companies, and pharmacies. Moreover, it adapts to different tones with light, completing the color transitions in the environment.
How to Measure Curtains
When measuring for sheer curtains, measure wall-to-wall and ceiling-to-floor, then provide both width and length. Leave a 3–4 cm gap from the floor according to your preference. Since sheer curtains have a 10 cm fold during sewing, you can request to extend them by 5–6 cm. Please enter your measurements in centimeters.
